5 Minute Challenge

I got challenged to write a blog in 5 minutes. Not sure if it’ll take 5 minutes, but I’m up for the challenge! (I had written this blog on Friday of last week and had a busy week that I never got to post on the day it happened.)

I am currently sitting through a car wash, and I wanted to get creative and see what God would lay on my heart but looking at it through the eyes of a car wash. Cars can get dirty and messy depending on the circumstance. Sometimes it can be caused by sprinkles of rain, windy weather, dust storms (especially if you live here in El Paso.) People go to car washes to wash their cars and make them all squeaky clean. Even car washes have those vacuums as soon as you drive out of the tunnel and areas where you can detail your car. This is where God shifted my perspective. We come to him with baggage, burdens, worries, doubts, challenging circumstances. We go into his presence feeling “dirty” (tired, drained, ready to give up), but he gives us that hope at the end of the day. We go through life with him by our side, and he’s washing us clean and digging into those deep spots where we can’t reach. After we go through the “washing process,” he fixes us and makes us look like the versions of us he’s created us to be. He made us with such great detail that he can take all that junk away at the end of the day and make us NEW AGAIN! Just like a car is made new again after it has gone through a car wash...God wants to do the same in your life!! He allows us to come to him just as we are, but when we develop that profound relationship with him and let him guide us, that’s when he makes us NEW! God is willing to do that over and over again because he loves you, and YOU are HIS child!
