He Is Faithful

I had been praying and asking God to show me what it was that he wanted me to share with you this week. I received a call from UTEP on Tuesday telling me that I was selected to retake the class that I had failed last year. I was surprised that I was even chosen. As most of you know, I didn’t make it to Texas Tech. I was advised to try again and retake the entrance exam. I already had a plan and then the call just shook everything up. I was overwhelmed and just in a state of confusion. I didn’t know what route was best, I started stressing and overthinking everything! I’m sure most of you guys have had moments of panic, confusion and just being in an overwhelming state. This is what God reminded me today, that he is faithful.

A close friend of mine had sent me this, in Luke 1:45,“Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her”. God already has your best in mind, he knows your desires...HE KNOWS!! God never breaks his promises to us, he is always coming through. Just like he told his promise through a rainbow, that he would never again flood the earth...he stuck to his word. Sometimes I get too much in my head and forget that God will never let me go, he’s holding on to me through everything, and he reminds us all that what he says will come to pass; just in his timing.

I know it gets hard to trust God even when things become hectic, you lose your job, you apply and don’t get accepted to a job or school...but that’s when we should trust more. God has already created our futures and everything that he made for us will come through. Don’t lose sight of his promises. I think that’s the beautiful thing about God, after all we do, after our faith falls, or the distance between you and him grows farther...he never leaves. God is always waiting for you to call on him and tell him what’s on your mind. He’s always waiting for you to depend on him. God remains even when we don’t. How much better can that be! He’s not going anywhere and sometimes we just need to believe that. So wherever you are in life, remember that after all else fails...GOD WILL NEVER FAIL YOU!!
