Just a Little Bit More
Here's a new update of the last couple of days...I had taken a short break from writing because last Friday we got my grandpa back home! My grandparents have been staying here with us for the meantime until my grandpa is back on his feet. In the beginning, it was hard seeing him with the oxygen and all bruised up because of the IV's they put on him. A few days went by, and that's where we are today! He eats like usual; oxygen levels have been excellent, especially when he gets up and walks to the kitchen or the restroom. He has been doing his breathing exercises, and right now, his oxygen level is at 2.5 liters!! We are happy to have him back home!!
Sometimes our lives can be complicated, but God whispers to our hearts…" Just a Little Bit More." If we can just hang on a little longer, God will come through for you. He always comes through for his children. The problems that we go through in this life are TEMPORARY. I'm sure you have heard that saying, "Pain doesn't last forever," and as cliche as that sounds... it's true.
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." (NIV)
James 1:2-4
We can see hope waiting for at the end of the tunnel if we just go a little more. The amazing thing about Jesus is that he knows every feeling that we have ever felt. He, too, had moments where he wept, where he was mad, where he questioned, where he was betrayed by a friend. He experienced it all! He knows how hard life can get sometimes, but he reminds us in Exodus 14:14: "The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm."
When my family was going through this with my gramps, it was tough, and we all had moments where trusting was challenging in itself. My dad had reminded us when we kept going back and forth regarding the time when my gramps was coming home…" Just a Little Bit More." The situation he was in was temporary, and he wasn't going to be in the hospital forever. He isn't going to be on oxygen forever, and he won't be wearing his life vest forever.
Whatever you may be facing... IT'S ONLY TEMPORARY. Like I've said in previous blogs, God gave you what you need to make it through. You're strong; you're capable through the power that God has given you. Be steadfast and keep going!
