Rainy Days

I love rain! The smell of rain is like a fresh cold morning. You smell everything... the plants, trees and the air for once seems clean and fresh! I enjoy hearing the sounds of rain hitting my window, it makes me want to stay wrapped in the covers all day!

I wanted to say something about those rainy days. I see it like this, when it rains it’s like God’s way of showing us he’s washing everything away. Washing everything down and making it “clean”. Washing all the bad things in this world and allowing the good things to show again. I don’t know the circumstances you may be facing whether it be financially, emotionally, mentally or physically but allow the creator of the universe to wipe away all the anxiety, fear, worry, doubt, and chaos and let him show you that when the storm hits, at the end there’s light. The skies turn blue again and the sun shines at its brightest point. Let God show you that light and hope after the storm. Let him handle the bad and the ugly and rest in him when the rain hits. God’s goodness shows up when the sunny blue skies pop up again.

In Matthew 11:28 it says,"Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Give those areas of your struggles to him because he will take care of you. God will give you the strength when you need it, the hope when you’ve lost it and the faith when you need to be reminded of it. Choose today to rest in knowing that God will show you through. Let him give you rest that even on those rainy days, a light will come through and you’ll see the goodness of God!
