Reminders

Aren't we all just thankful that we can create and set reminders for ourselves? Reminders are like mini lifesavers that help you literally remember something you may have forgotten during the busyness and chaos of life.

I was reminded recently by someone very close to me about God's process in developing us into something great. This person sent me a picture that said, "God prepares leaders in a slow-cooker, not in a microwave oven." #BePatient #YourTimeIsComing

Honestly, as funny as the references were, it's entirely true. God's best happens in his timing, and that's when we decide to be patient and trust that God has our best in mind.

It's been 6 years since I've been in college. I've been trying to make it into the nursing program for six years, and I have yet to get into a school. My trust and faith in God genuinely has been put to the test during those times, and I've had to learn that it's his plan over mine. God is the one who has the final say as to when everything happens. The ball is in his court. I always saw my friends starting their careers and always thought that I was "late to the party." I saw it as a negative thing, but then I realized being in the waiting was God's way of developing me into a God-driven woman.

Allowing myself to be patient and not rush showed me and helped me to find who I was in him. I have had the opportunity to work on myself and better myself in my knowledge that now I can have a different type of confidence in myself. God reminded me that being patient and going with his flow is all part of the process.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, "He has made everything beautiful in its time."

It doesn't matter what stage of life you are in right now. Learn to embrace the waiting and learn to take it piece by piece, day by day...the way that God intended it to happen. He has you in the palm of his hand, and he would love nothing more than to see you happy. Good things take time, and good things come to those who wait...
