Setback = Comeback
We thought that my gramps was going to get to come home today. Unfortunately, while they were putting the life vest on him, he was standing for 3 minutes, and his oxygen dropped down to the ’70s. My mom and I made a facetime call with my grandma included since she isn’t staying with us. We were talking, and the hardest part was seeing him cry. He was feeling discouraged because he thought he was doing so good, and then this happens.
He misses my grandma, and he honestly thought he was going home today. He told my mom that this was really hard for him, which I can only imagine. I told him that he’s getting better because his oxygen used to drop to the 40’s, but now it’s only dropping to the 70’s. There is progress being made. The good thing is that he still is using the nasal oxygen tube, but I know he sees this as a setback.
A setback doesn’t mean it’s over. It just means you have to keep pushing! We continue to pray, believing that my grandpa’s oxygen level won’t drop when he stands up. I know this whole virus took a toll on his heart, and it’s going to take some time for him to be back to where he was at before. We know that God is going to take care of him. God allows us to go through storms because he knows that we will FOR SURE make it to the other side. He already gave you the strength, the hope, and the faith to get you through.
If he knew that you weren’t going to make it, then he wouldn’t have put you in the circumstance you are in. You can make it through! There will be setbacks, but the difference is if you let it define you or keep moving through it. TESTING BRINGS A BLESSING! You have what it takes to walk confidently in the victory that God has already given you. It’s time that you start to believe it. Get ready for your comeback!!!
