Confidence

I’ve been the type of person that struggles to find confidence in myself and know that God placed me in this position for a divine purpose. While in clinical, it was a bit of a hassle. I’m not going to say anything gossip about the hospital staff and others, but let’s just say there were moments when I felt like I wasn’t cut out to be there because it didn’t seem like the people I have around had that same confidence in me. I had a different patient every week; unless my patient was discharged, I ended up getting someone else. In the moments that I felt incapable, God showed me otherwise. People I have never met in my life (patients) would tell me after I took care of them for 2 days that they were grateful to have me. One patient actually wished me good luck with the rest of my studies. Another patient told me he was extremely thankful for having me around to talk with him. Hearing this from people gave me hope and realigned my thinking…that I am right where I am supposed to be.

God wants us to have confidence in ourselves because HE HAS CONFIDENCE in us! God wouldn’t have placed you where you are if he didn’t think you would be able to do it. He blessed each of us with things we may be good at and gave us all traits that make us unique to those around us. We have to stop putting ourselves down when we think we shouldn’t be where he placed us. There are moments where we get inside our heads and tear ourselves down because we feel like “I could do better” or “There’s someone else out there that should be here and not me.” GOD HAS YOU WHERE HE HAS YOU BECAUSE HE KNOWS THAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO GREAT THINGS! He believes in you, and he has given us that GODFIDENCE (which means confidence in God) to walk in when we lose sight of that. BELIEVE in YOURSELF! Don’t doubt where you are at right now in life for a minute. It may look different, it may feel different, but it’s all according to God’s will.
