He is EVIDENT!
When I started clinical in November, I was in new territory. It's an entirely different feeling being on the other side of the spectrum. As a patient/visitor, I never really paid much attention to the things around me, but as a student nurse…I was like, "Wow, I never realized half of these things!" I was nervous when talking to my FIRST patient; mind you, this patient spoke complete Spanish!! I can understand Spanish, but I always mess up with the past/present tenses when it comes to saying it. I stepped into the room with my instructor because she saw how nervous I was. As I walked in, I said, "Hi, my name is Deserae, a student nurse who will be caring for you for the next 2 days," it was like I had been speaking Spanish my entire life. It was all God. I even had to translate for my instructor because she didn't know much Spanish. It even came to a NURSE asking me if I could go with her to a patient's room to help her communicate because she didn't know any Spanish. I was amazed at how I managed, but I knew it wouldn't have been possible without him.
God is evident in each of our lives. All it takes sometimes is to look for him in the simple things. God loves to show us just how great he is. He isn't out there to complicate our lives. He is there to give us a life free of any worry, anxiety, doubt, or fear. In Deuteronomy 31:6, it says, "So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you." He PROMISED to never leave us. He walks with us through the bad and the good. There is no place where you can go where God won't be.
God brought me this far, and as nervous and scared as I was, he came along with me and helped me speak a language that I am not great in. Today, I encourage you to ask God to make himself evident in your life. There's no shame in asking, and he won't laugh at us for doing so.
So right now, say, "God, I ask that you make yourself evident in my life and allow me to see your goodness and faithfulness in my life today and for the days to come. I love you, Lord. I pray these things in your name…AMEN.
