Do It Again
I got some good news today! I tested negative!!!! This doesn't mean I'll live recklessly, but it's good because the virus is no longer in my system. Praise God!! My mom and I face timed my grandpa today. He is definitely looking a whole lot better than when he was admitted. He had a rough day today and has been lying down for most of the day because of his breathing. He can talk more now without sounding short of breath. You can tell that he's getting restless and just wants out. Continuing to pray that he has better days and that God breathes in his lungs. We really want him to come home...soon.
I remember being in a small group at my church, and we were doing a series called "Battle Plan for Prayer." During one of the sessions, we discussed the different techniques we can use when we're trying to keep our thoughts captive. One of the points that stood out was when they said, "God loves it when we remember all the blessings and circumstances he has carried us through." Never did it occur to me that it makes God happy when we "count our blessings."" I remember there was a time where I was just having a rough day mentally. I had decided to start telling God, "Thank you for…" Pretty soon, I began to feel better, and I wasn't being distracted by the things in my mind.
I can say that I wouldn't be where I am without God. I can't begin to tell you how many times I saw him moving in my life. The moments that I thought were the hardest, mentally and emotionally, he carried me through. The times that seemed impossible and absolutely no way around...God made a way and turned my "impossible" to "IT'S POSSIBLE." Have you ever had those moments? The moments where you just remember all the things that God has done for you? Even if you haven't had those moments yet, I encourage you to try it...count those blessings; big or small.
God is bigger than anything we may come across. He hears your prayers and heart cries. If things aren't working out right now, trust that everything works together for good. Cling to God's promises and never lose hope. God has come through for my family and me, and I know that he will come through for you. There's this song called "Do It Again" by Elevation Worship. In the song, it says, "I've seen you move, you move the mountains, and I believe I'll see you do it again. You made a way where there was no way, and I believe I'll see you do it again." If he pulled you through once, he surely could do it again!
