Perspective

I think that we can all agree that 2020 was a complete year of surprises. Good and well of course...some bad surprises along the way. Covid 19 is seriously the highlight of the year, as it brought on alot of chaos, sorrow, fear and everything else in between. I literally just want this year to be over and done with. Truthfully I think I can speak for most people when I say that. This year will completely be over in a couple of hours and it’s on to 2021. It was a rough year for everyone, adjusting to so much change in a matter of days and learning how to live in a pandemic was/is crazy!

How about if we have a different perspective looking back on this year and moving forward to the next year? We all may have had our battles to fight whether they had been emotionally, physically or mentally. We have all had moments where we feared, panicked, doubted, were upset, became disappointed, or just completely felt unmotivated...and it was all okay to have felt all those things. Most of us faced giants we never really paid attention to before and somehow you made it through. I know for me I dealt with alot of anxiety and living through this pandemic just escalated it to a whole other level. It was hard to trust God, especailly when people whom I was closest to had been exposed to Covid. We had 3 scares in my family and God really came through for us...he has literally had his protective hand over my family.

I can’t begin to tell you all the ways I’ve seen God at work in my life and the lives of others. God has been teaching me to PRAY, to LEAN ON HIM, and he’s opened my eyes on my PERSPECTIVE. My dad was talking to me and my brothers and he was talking about how we shouldn’t look back when we are actually going through situations. 2020 was a journey that all of us experienced and each of us faced things along the way. We all eventually got through them and I’m sure have learned valuable lessons along the way. But as a new year comes...we can look back and see that in 2021 we won’t be the same people we were in 2020. We will be different, we will be stronger, we will learn to take things one day and a time and we will know that God is truly the only one that can sustain us. Let this next year be different, let us look at things through a different perspective. Trust me, its hard to see things in a positive way, but God does things for our good...never to hurt us but allows us to go through things to help us grow. God remains faithful through it all.

So here’s to 2021, the year of NEW PERSPECTIVE!

Happy New Year Lovely, Beautiful, Free family!
