Point of View

I find peace in knowing that God has shown himself so clearly in my life. It's been crazy to see his hand at work, and even in the moments, I didn't see where he was taking me and pondered the question "Why?" now I'm understanding. God's work to me is mysterious. His work is hidden in the mystery, but God makes sure that he isn't a mystery. I believe that we don't get to know things because knowing everything would take away from God, molding us into the people we are meant to become. God allows us to go through the mess, so he can remind us of who he truly is. It's like the saying goes…instead of asking "Why God?"; ask, "What is it that you want me to learn?" There are no strings attached when it comes to God's plans. He does things for a reason and for a season. We might not be able to see the picture clearly just yet, but once we get over the valley and stand on the mountain… that's when we get to see what God was doing all along. Those doors that may have stayed closed weren't because God made you suffer. He was preparing you.

Proverbs 3:5-7 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take." (NLT)

I really love the way the Message translation puts it.

—-------> "Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track." (MSG)

We have to listen to his voice because he is the one who will keep us on track. God knows when, and I can confidently tell you that his timing is perfect. I believe my nursing story journey is a testament to that. God doesn't want you to lose hope; he just wants you to keep holding on just a little bit longer. Ask him to provide you with the strength you need along with the endurance to keep going.

I encourage you today to try and ask God, "What is it that you want me to learn right now?"
