Slowly, but Surely

Everything is going a little bit better today, still have some congestion and haven’t fully regained my sense of smell and taste. It’s getting there slowly, but surely. Family is also getting better; everyone is still dealing with some congestion. My mom has started coughing, but her doctor ended up giving her some antibiotics. So we are praying that this be over soon and that we get better fast!

This has definitely been something that’s been a little challenging for me. I guess you can say it’s a whirlwind of emotions, but I honestly just want to get better...I hate being sick and just feeling like all I want to do is lay down and sleep. Through all of this, we’ve all had to keep an optimistic mindset and remind ourselves that we will be okay and that God has us in the palm of his hand. I started reading this new book called “Unshakeable Hope” by Max Lucado and in the very first few pages he describes how God is...he is a God that does not lie, is faithful and unchanging and is strong.

God isn’t someone that goes back on his word, he follows through with what he says. He tells us that he will take care of us. Every situation that we walk through has already been won through his power. His words never come back void. God is a PROMISE KEEPER! I know that slowly, but surely my family will get better and we will come out of this victorious and stronger than ever. I know God is going to show us just how much of a promise keeper he is. He showed Abraham when he allowed his wife Sarah to bare a child, he came through for Noah when told him to build an ark for his family and then had the flood come along. He did it for them, so why wouldn't he be able to do it for you?

I encourage you to believe the promises that God has for you.  He will come through and even if your situation looks different, slowly, but surely God will come through for you.
