Watching Over ME

I hardly had any sleep last night. I guess my body was just stressed... I kept feeling my heart beating super fast, and I just couldn’t sleep through that. My grandma came back to stay with us yesterday, and she’s staying until my grandpa gets out of the hospital. Last night, we called the nurses, and they told us that his blood pressure was 110, and his oxygen percentage was reading at 93. He was put on 7 liters of oxygen for the night, and he slept great!

This morning we received the best news!!! He’s officially off the oxygen masks, and they just have him on a nasal oxygen tube. He is now on 6 liters!! The only thing now is to avoid his oxygen dropping when he moves. The doctor suggested that he try moving to the edge of the bed and then taking a break and doing it again. My Gramps is doing very well, and I am thankful that God is continuing to heal him and help him get better to come home. It’s been a journey for all of us, but God’s watching over my Gramps. Praying that he continues to improve and has the strength to continue to push.

I came across a photo that had said, “Remind yourself that you are in the right hands. Do not worry because God is holding you right now.” God’s always speaking, and I’m thankful that he reminded me. It’s still good to be reminded of things that we might forget along the way. There’s a song by Jason Upton called “Watching Over Me.” This is such a beautiful song, and every word he sings is true. In the song, he sings, “Jesus, you know all my troubles, Jesus, you feel all my pain. I hear you singing in the struggle, I hear you whispering my name...cause your watching over me, watching over me.”

God is watching over you. I know I’ve said that in my previous blogs, but reminders never hurt anyone. In the struggles, we sometimes forget everything and focus on the issue...don’t let that be the case for you! Continue to trust and push through. Continue to pray and press in and remember that God is watching over you.

Psalm 121:5 says, “The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.
