You Had It In You All Along

One thing I realized a few weeks ago, was God has instilled something in each of us. I feel as though there’s moments in our lives when we forget. There’s so much happening around us that literally these have been “trying times.” And we forget that the God who created the universe, has given us each a gift that we have yet to tap into. Have you ever faced a circumstance that put you in a state of mind like “how am I going to make it through?” If you said yes, then know that you aren’t the only one who has ever felt that way. I’ve had moments where I thought the giant I was facing was too big for me and there was no way I was going to overcome it. It may have taken a few weeks, but I reached the other side, quite frankly I sometimes wonder how I even made it...but that’s when God reminds me, he already gave me the strength I needed in order to make it through my storm. HE ALREADY KNEW! I didn’t know I had it inside of me UNTIL I finally went through it. 

A few Sundays ago, a pastor was preaching a message in a sermon called “Did I Ask?” and as he was teaching, he mentioned this…”God will NEVER ask me what he didn’t already give me.” This tore me to pieces because it's true...God has already given me what I need to get through anything. I may think I can’t do it, but that's when God whispers “You had it in you all along” We may become faced with trials that seem unbearable and hard, but God knows, and he knows that you’re so much stronger and braver than you think you are...and that’s why he put you there. He puts us in situations because he’s helping us become the better versions of ourselves. You have what it takes to get the job, pass the test, take care of those kids, be that mom your kids need, be that friend someone needs, and be the person God made you to be. Don't let doubt consume your mind and tell you otherwise. God made you strong and capable through the power he already placed in you!
