Change

The fact that we continue to learn so many things about ourselves every day never fails to amaze me. I recently realized that I strongly dislike when things in my life begin to change. It's one of those things where you just got used to doing things a certain way or things happening at a specific time that all of the sudden it starts to change, and what you were doing doesn't work anymore.

As unfortunate as it may seem, sometimes change isn't as bad as we deem it to be. God is a God who embraces change. He would have us continue to move forward rather than become complacent and not move forward. It's hard because we see change happening, but we can't tell where it will go. We don't know how we'll end up. We don't get to see the final outcome. That's the scary part for me. I'm the type of person who likes to control outcomes, and the second I realize it's not in my grasp, I freak.

I know deep down, I have to give God control. He's the one who has the final say. He doesn't want to see me stress over something that I don't even know will look when it ends. When God sees us ready for the "next level," he changes the things in our lives for the better. He knows that when we take those steps forward, we'll find ourselves in the place where he called us to be. I'm learning to embrace change and go with the punches. I'm learning to have confidence in God regardless of anything that may happen. God has me. He has you.

God uses change for good. He knows how much it'll allow us to grow, and he knows that it's a part of life. He won't fail you just because your life seems to have taken a turn for the worse. He won't fail you just because you doubted him. He won't fail you just because your faith stumbled. He will be there with you through the change, and he'll be there when you walk out. See change for what it is and not for what the world has pictured it to be.
