Fear Does Not Own You!
More and more in today’s world fear is just a something that almost affects everyone. I’ve met people who constantly live in fear and I’ve met people who let fear control them. I have personally been a victim of fear, I’ve let fear dictate my actions, I’ve let fear control my emotions, and I’ve let fear hinder me from seeing the good things that God has for me. For so long, I saw fear as something that I always carried. I never was able to step out of fear because I would see myself and think like “Wait, what am I doing? I shouldn’t be doing this, I can’t do this”, that’s fear talking. When you start to tell yourself that you aren’t good enough or when you begin to second guess yourself...that’s fear! When you can’t step out of your comfort zone because you’re scared...that’s fear! When you start believing the lies in your head...you’re letting fear take a hold of you. When you want to believe that there’s someone out there for you, but you don’t feel like your worthy enough...that’s fear! When you start to care so much about what people think of you...thats fear! When you get test results from a Doctor and he calls you in and you start to assume the worst...that’s fear! If there is one thing I can tell you about fear; it’s that FEAR HAS NO PLACE IN YOUR LIFE! It’s time to put your foot down, and say enough it’s enough!
This past weekend, I just felt so overwhelmed with fear. I was worried about failing this class I had already failed and I was already thinking the worst when I haven‘t even taken my first exam yet... that’s fear! I literally had to remind myself that I was a child of God and I’ve been set free from all fear. In 2 Timothy 1:7, it says “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.” It’s not good for you to live in fear because you won’t be able to see the bigger things in life. There’s so much more to life, if we just learn how to not let fear have a stronghold in our lives. Believe in yourself and believe in the truth that God has set before you. Psalm 56:3 says “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you.” Remember that you are NO LONGER A SLAVE TO FEAR, because you are a CHILD OF GOD! The next time your mind decides to enter a state of fear, tell yourself “No!” and allow yourself to be free. Rest in the truth that you’re going to be okay! Be a victor and not a victim to fear anymore. Stand in freedom today and declare that FEAR HAS NO PLACE
