Never Let Your Faith Plateau
I recently went on this trip with a friend of mine and as we were driving in what seemed like the middle of nowhere, there was a sign we were approaching. We were in the car listening to some Hillsong United and out of nowhere my friend had said “Never Let Your Faith Plateau!” Being a bit confused because he said this out of nowhere I said, “what are you talking about?” And that’s when he pointed to the sign coming up...that said Plateau Exit 159. I laughed because of how relevant it was and the fact that he just came up with that on the spot, which was priceless. I sat there thinking that what he said had a lot of value to it. It’s true if you start to think about it. Our faith is always being tested, and we shouldn’t let the failures, mistakes, and disappointments of this life cause our faith to become a flat line habit.
When prayers have gone unanswered for months or even years, it shouldn’t be a reason to let our faith remain at a constant. We should always be in a state of mind that causes our faith to always be on it’s “A” game. Most of us stop believing in the one who is greater than anything we may be facing because we don’t see anything happening. Little to find out that God is doing everything behind the scenes. We need to trust and have faith that God will come through. As much as we want to turn the other way and figure it out ourselves, we can’t. You can’t just throw in the towel on your faith. God is constantly moving around you and he will show you the great things he can and is doing in your life. As tough as your life may be or as good as your life is right now, keep the faith and don’t give up. God is not giving up and neither should you!
