At His Feet
I’m currently sitting in my room listening to worship songs in Spanish. I have multiple favorites but I love listening to “No Hay Lugar Mas Alto'' by Miel San Marcos. This song is beautifully written and it was a song my grandma would always listen to while she would drive. This song speaks to my heart because there is no place higher or greater than to be at the feet of Jesus.
At his feet is where we find peace; a place where we can find restoration; a place where we can lay each and every one of our burdens. At his feet, we are able to lay every insecurity, every fear, every slither of doubt, every negative thought, and all anxieties. At his feet we can find security and allow ourselves to be in a position of gratitude for all the things that he has brought us through. At his feet, we are able to find our identity; we are able to recall each promise that he has made to us. The moments where we come with an attitude of surrender…Jesus waits for us and accepts us with open arms and a loving heart regardless of all the things we may have done.
He stands alongside us carrying the weight of this world on his shoulders so you don’t have to anymore. He intercedes alongside you praying for a peace to wash over you. He feels every emotion you feel and sees everything you see, but he whispers to your heart to lay it at his feet. It’s time to lay everything at his feet. Nothing is too big, too small, too dumb, too personal, too ridiculous for Jesus. I encourage you today, anything you are carrying heavy in your heart whether it's a family issue, a health condition, marriage issues, school, finances, relationships, self worth…lay it at his feet and he will take care of it for you.
Matthew 11:28-30 says “ Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. LET ME teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find REST for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
I attached the song in case you wanted to give it a listen!
